BBBEE Status: Tim Africa (PTY) LTD is a proudly BEE Level 1 company

We're proud to announce the launch of the newly rebuilt Meissen website, marking a significant step forward in how the brand presents its collections, supports its customers, and showcases its commitment to design excellence. This launch is also a milestone for our team, as it represents our fastest turnaround time for a 60 plus page website, delivered in just over a month. A key contributor was building on Umbraco CMS, known for its editor friendly, intuitive backend UX, which helped our team work efficiently through content structure, page builds, and updates without slowing down the build process.

Evolving the Meissen Website into a Modern Experience

The previous website had served Meissen well, but as the brand and its collections evolved, the need for a more modern, intuitive, and scalable digital platform became clear. The rebuild focused on transforming an outdated structure into a refined, contemporary experience that reflects the quality and craftsmanship of the Meissen name.

Built for Homeowners, Interior Designers, and Architects

Designed with homeownersinterior designers, architects, and retailers in mind, the new Meissen website prioritizes ease of navigation, visual inspiration and product clarity. The site structure has been reimagined to guide users seamlessly through the Meissen Bathroom CollectionMeissen Kitchen Collection, and Meissen Medical Collection, ensuring visitors can quickly find products that match their needs and intent.

A key focus of the rebuild was simplifying the user journey.  Clear category separation, a streamlined navigation system, and an enhanced search experience make exploring the Meissen Collections effortless. Product pages have been standardized to display finishes, specifications, and product codes in one cohesive layout, making the site equally valuable for designers and architects to find inspiration and technical references.

Imagery, Content Structure, and Performance

High resolution imagery plays a central role in the new experience. Carefully curated visuals, paired with consistent naming conventions and structured content, support both aesthetics and search engine optimization. Inspiration driven sections, designer focused layouts, and article-based content allow Meissen to tell richer product stories while remaining cost efficient and scalable for future growth.

Performance and responsiveness were integral to the rebuilding. The new site has been developed to perform seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices, with particular attention given to readability, usability, and fast load times. The website is built on Umbraco as the CMS, providing a flexible and reliable foundation for long term scalability, improved security, and easier content management as the Meissen product catalogue continues to expand.

SEO best practices were embedded throughout the project. From sitemap planning and URL mapping to image optimization and content structure, the rebuild positions the Meissen website for improved visibility across search engines while remaining intuitive for real users.

Foundation for What Comes Next

The result is a website that balances form and function, blending premium design with technical performance. It serves not only as a product showcase, but as a digital destination for inspiration, specification, and discovery. This is just the beginning, as more features, collections, and pages will continue to evolve to improve how people engage with the website over time.
