The Incredible Story

The Past:

According to the Internet Information OG, Wikipedia, "The Incredible Machine (TIM) is a series of video games in which players create a series of Rube Goldberg devices."
 
"A Rube Goldberg machine, named after American cartoonist Rube Goldberg, is a chain reaction–type machine or contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and (impractically) overly complicated way. Usually, these machines consist of a series of simple unrelated devices; the action of each triggers the initiation of the next, eventually resulting in achieving a stated goal."

"Life is not one game, but a series of games".
The Founders of this version of Tim, the version you are reading "About", loved the original version of the game and would imagine it being a favourite of many, including the Monty Python crew, because of it's brilliance and absolute absurdity. "Such is life", we might say.

The Present:

"We must return to zero".

Although we loved the original and we love the idea of technology optimizing our experience and helping us complete tasks, we feel that the update we'd like to make is a continual simplification in order to remove the "indirect" and "impracticality" in any given process, project or task. We say "continual" because we believe that life is an extremely long game, and it's getting longer. The refinement will be "continual" also because the best simplifications are not necessarily a quick process, to reference Mark Twain, "I apologize for such a long letter - I didn't have time to write a short one."

With that thought in mind, we will move on. You may have noticed that throughout this website experience, there is a pattern of three (3) things. Whether it's 3 Images, 3 Concepts, or 3 Offerings, you will find the number 3 represented throughout your dealings with Tim.
